Happy Accordions
by Darin Münch
Very simple Parisian accordion ditty. This quirky little song is short but fun, positive, and bright. Suitable for sipping wine or espresso in a cafe.
Atlantic Adventure
by Darin Münch
This oceanic adventure symphony is my take on some of the wonderful stuff written by George Fenton for BBC's various nature documentaries, such as Planet Earth. Climb aboard and set sail!
Grandfather Clock
by Darin Münch
Here's a somber little A-minor string duet. I came up with this melancholy piece on a whim after hearing the Philip Glass score for Fog of War. A lonely grandfather clock ticks away while a cello and violin exchange tuneful laments.
The Journey Ahead
by Darin Münch
This slow, sparse, moody string theme was inspired by a somber movie sequence that left me thinking, "What now?" There are few embellishments here other than some subtle bowed crescendos, dynamics, and a touch of cinematic reverb for effect. This one gently tugs at the heart strings.
Bounding Quartet
by Darin Münch
Here's a sparky little quartet for ya... this one was inspired by the Hyrule Symphony and the Scent of a Woman soundtrack (of all things). It's a fairly basic repeating string pattern, but I find it charming, lively, and optimistic. Features a legato cello solo, staccato violin duet, and lots of clinky percussion -- just the way I like it!
Playing with Design

I've been having fun with the visuals as we work on website internal organs. SydScotch.com looks a little raw as I type this, but here are some layout ideas we hope to implement pretty soon:
Sharp Funk
by Darin Münch
I wrote this little Bootsy Collins-style funk tune for my Dad a few years ago. Features dry drums, tapped electric bass, clav, and some synthy-stringy goodies for fun. I also threw in a Led Zeppelin / Kashmir-style bridge and a random orchestral break to stir the pot a little. Crank it up! Enjoy!
Harpsi Medieval
by Darin Münch
Here's a quirky track to go with my Doge artwork. I made this sloppy "baroque"-style lute & organ duet many years ago, but it still makes me smile. Lots of funny-sounding medieval percussion and a general lack of harmonic competence overwhelm this thing. Have a listen!
