Flight of the Borscht
by Darin Münch
Here's one to make you smile, dance, and maybe even hop onto a tightrope in the sky. This quick-paced classical number was inspired by Russian folk music, Barnum & Bailey, Rachmaninoff, and even Hip Tanaka of Kirby & Nintendo fame. Piano, percussion, horns and strings become more and more daring as this tune winds its way to a zany finale.
Sway
by Darin Münch
This mellow, filmic piano-marimba piece seems to drift and sway with the wind. Short, sweet, and simple, this reflective 6/8 flow might be just the thing for one of those wistful days.
Dusty Rag
by Darin Münch
My third (and personal favorite) attempt at ragtime! This dusty, old-timey piano number takes its happy-go-lucky cues from Scott Joplin, Merrie Melodies, and even Super Mario Bros. This cheery little thing may not do justice to the "ABCD" conventions of the genre, but it should add a little spring to your step!
Bandit Rag
by Darin Münch
My second attempt at ragtime turned into more of a cops-and-robbers ditty! Again I added a little dust, distortion, and a dash of pitch-shift here and there to give my pianos a bit of honky-tonk age & character. Quirk and attitude give this one a nice old-timey vibe that should (hopefully) put a smile on your face!
Doki Ditty Rag
by Darin Münch
Well, here it is! The first of my (three) attempts at old-timey ragtime piano. This dusty ditty ended up more like a clumsy old bar tune, but oh well -- if you can embrace the slaphappy vibe, you just might find a good use for this tipsy little thing. Partially inspired by the soundtrack from Doki Doki Panic.
syDthetic draws near
by Darin Münch
My new tech-tinted pocket album approaches! Built with love from the spare parts of our recent Amazon Fire project, "syDthetic" is a cheerful medley of unabashedly synthesized musical shorts. Keep your oculars in focus!
Airlifter
by Darin Münch
Here's an epic, driving, airy orchestral number with a touch of Philip Glass intricacy. Clashing time signatures and trinkety gear-like percussion help push this one ever upward. An unabashedly uplifting tune, this was originally created for a client video about high-tech elevators. Top floor, please!
Supraman!
by Darin Münch
Here's an adventurous little tune inspired by vintage John Williams. This daredevil ditty is actually an orphaned clip from a very special orchestral project we just completed, but I think it's colorful and boisterous enough to warrant a spot here. Up, up, and away...!
Slowman
by Darin Münch
Here's another epic adventure snippet inspired by vintage RPG music and classic John Williams scores. This slow-moving, lead-footed number is actually another orphaned track from a special orchestral project we just completed. A sliver of a song, no doubt, but a rousing one!
