This Spanish-inspired madrigal is a little bit somber and little bit strange. I recorded it with an out-of-tune piano and layered some strings and percussion on top to give it some breadth. Piano, cello, triangle, percussion, bass, and other sounds come together in this unstable yet somehow comforting medley. This would pair nicely with some red wine!

This "funky" little snippet was created using an actual Nintendo NES chipset manipulated through a special MIDI cartridge. Short, punchy, and charming, this is the unabashed sound of vintage 8-bit video gaming.
