I'm Syd Scotch, a lifelong pianist for hire with extensive improvisation experience. I specialize in classical-improvisational soundscapes, combining mystical-whimsical-melancholy elements to bring a uniquely airy mood to any room.

I can comfortably suit an elegant background or ambient vibe, but if your event requires a little extra energy, I am happy to mix things up with a more jazz/blues/funk-forward approach. Do you need an improv musician to back your theater play or silent film? Dinners, conferences, public receptions, weddings or corporate events? I can do those too. 😊

I am fully equipped with a full-sized professional keyboard and amplification, but I'd be more than happy to use any existing piano in your event space (reasonably-tuned, of course!).
