Polar Strings
by Darin Münch

Here's an icy track I’m personally fond of. This distant, antarctic string dirge was inspired by George Fenton's chilly polar bear theme for BBC's Planet Earth series. Things begin happily enough on a bright, snowy iceberg morning, but it's quickly apparent something is terribly awry...
Features distant oboe, string symphony, timpani, piano, percussion, and a Gregorian choir for effect. This would obviously fit nicely in a nature documentary, but it's versatile enough to serve as a theme to any tale of desolation. Bundle up!
