Pianocross

I quite nearly abandoned this grimy experiment before my mix was expertly salvaged by Eric over at Heartwise Records. This dark, brooding rock-groove features live single-mic'd drums and a gritty bass & organ duo toiling under a rickety upright piano. Part Led Zeppelin and part Nine Inch Nails, this slow-moving, atmospheric funk ended up unexpectedly colossal-sounding.

INSTRUMENTATION: Includes live drum kit, electric bass (tap & slide), upright Baldwin piano, and Wurlitzer pedal organ. Mixed & mastered in 2009 by Eric Munch. A nice track to establish a nasty, funky, sinister-yet-airy mood.
