9/4 Experiment
by Darin Münch

Here's another messy experiment from 2003. This funky, happy, fuzzy jazz fragment features a distorted fretless tapped bass and drums playing mathematical-yet-groovy 9/4 counterpoint. After dancing around each others' downbeats for a while, they proceed to an explosive little unison chorus. Drums are a tad weak, but hey, the potential is there!
Instrumentation includes tapped fretless bass guitar and live drums. This one has a funky, positive vibe in spite of its grid-like construction. Might work great in a cheesy video about numbers!
