3-Funk

I wrote this moody, minor-key funk hybrid in late 2004 after I first heard Sly Stone's broodingly awesome Fresh and Riot albums. This loose, laid-back, creepy 6/8 groove is dark but colorful with a synthed-up, oddball 5/4 chorus. Slow-moving neon jellyfish would like this!

Instrumentation includes fretless bass guitar, live drums, and Peavey DPM 2 synthesizer in a slow, relaxed swing-funk. A great pick to establish an eerie vibe with a touch of attitude.
